Communication

It is a type of communication which takes place between two people 
example - telephone - local calls, STD, ISD

Mobile phone - STD (Subscriber Trunk Dialing), Voice Call, Camera, Mobile Banking, Internet

Mass communication 
It helps to share or send messages or information to a large number of people at the same time
Example (Newspapers, Magazines, Radio, Television, Cinema & Advertisements)

Differentiate between personal  and mass communication

Personal Communication                                                                                
  • Means of Communication through which only personal messages are exchanged between 2 people   .
  • These can be used by an individual for personal activities
  • Example - Telephone, Mobile, Postal Cards, Postal Services etc.

Mass Communication 
  • Means of Communication through which one can communicate with several people at the same time.
  • These can be used by government to create awareness programs and policies for the people
